Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory at Princess Royal University Hospital
Laboratory Overview
The Biochemistry laboratory at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) functions as a spoke site within the Synnovis hub‑and‑spoke model, providing rapid‑turnaround core biochemistry testing to support urgent care, inpatients and the Emergency Department. Core chemistry panels, including renal, liver and electrolyte profiles, are processed on site for fast clinical decision‑making, while specialist and high‑volume tests are performed at the Blackfriars Hub as part of the consolidated Blood Sciences service.
For full test repertoire and accreditation details, please refer to the Blackfriars Hub page.
